I know that the baby will choose their own “transitional object” (aka blankie or something close to one) and I think that thing will come pretty soon since Kye has really been loving holding things and cuddling with stuff. My fear? That his “blankie” will be a burp rag! Since the kid spits up constatnly there is always one within reach and he loves putting them in his mouth. My solution? I take the burp rag out and replace it with the monkey blanket thing Mom got him for Easter!
Kye LOVES Monkeys (the monkey wall sticker makes his day) and I’d much rather him walk around someday with the cute monkey guy than a nasty burp rag. Plus it’s easily machine washable, dark so it won’t show every spot, and I can order another one if this one gets lost. I think Zach is on board with Kye having the monkey as his “blankie” too. Zach wants to name him Russell haha I would rather just name him Monkey. I know I’m not original but that’s what he is!
Here are some pics of Kye’s first time meeting Monkey! He LOVES him! This post is for you Mom, Kye wanted his Gramma to see how much he adores his present 🙂
During storytime!
Giving Kisses!
I love how he hugs him with his whole body
