Since we spend every Christmas Eve/Christmas morning with the Parker’s, our agreement is that we go to my family’s for every Thanksgiving.
We drove down to Melbourne Wednesday night and stayed through Sunday morning. It was nice just to relax for a weekend!
Our family always gathers at Uncle Chip and Aunt Michele’s house and this year was no different!
At Easter Zach and the guys started the tradition of playing a family football game! So they decided to play volleyball at Thanksgiving. It’s pretty hilarious seeing as my family is not really the athletic type. I think all us on-lookers enjoyed laughing at the guys and especially at how competitive Zach is!
We had 32 people but we still did our annual tradition of going around the room and saying what we’re thankful for. As a little girl I dreaded this tradition! So embarrassing! But as an adult I appreciate the opportunity to tell my family how much I love them and to reflect on what God has blessed me with over this past year. I think it especially meant a lot to Nana this year and I’m so glad we continued the tradition.
My poor mom fell in the tub and her eye is totally gross! I feel so bad for her but luckily it looked a lot better than this by the time we left!
It was a fun day with the family! We went over to their house around 1 and didn’t leave until 9:30! The next day we relaxed at Mom’s house. Zach helped Mom paint a piece of furniture and the baby and I enjoyed watching The Jewelry Channel alllll day!
I’ve never watched home shopping much before and it’s awesome! haha The Jewelry Channel is going out of business and they had some great deals. It was very addicting to watch but I didn’t make any purchases!
Saturday morning Zach and I got up early and drove to Orlando to get some things for the baby’s room from Ikea. We LOVE that store! Even though I had to beg and plead to get Zach to go, I know he’s glad he did! We spent more than we should have but everything they have there are such good deals 🙂 That night we ate Cici’s with Jonathan and his boyfriend Bryan. I really really like Bryan and had such a nice time getting to know him better!
Since Uncle Chip’s family is moving to California in January, we went to their house to watch the Florida/Florida State game. The game was pathetic (which was kind of expected) and it was also pretty sad to think it was our last time at their house and that our family dynamic will change a lot when they move. We will miss them and I hope we all still get together as a family as they are usually the ones who make it happen!
We left Sunday morning and stopped by the St. Augustine Outlets to do some shopping. With Zach working so much we don’t get to ever do stuff like that together and I enjoy him being their with me to pick out presents, especially the ones for people in his family! It downpoured rain so we headed back early because Sadie cannot handle rain very well!
It was such a fun weekend and I can’t wait to go back to Melbourne in a couple weeks for Christmas!

OH MY GOSH your MoM’s eye looks awful
I'm a new follower from Comment Love at FTLOB and I have to say…What a SMALL world we live in! First off…I had never heard of Valdosta GA until my husband took a class there two years ago, almost to the day! He was there for two weeks. As I perused your blog, I then see this post about your trip to Melbourne FL. I live literally, right across the causeway from Melbourne. That is 2 coincidences! Too weird that you also happen to be the commenter on Comment Love just above me. It's like fate or something? Anyhow, congrats on your pregnancy! I can't wait to read some more of your posts!
