I know I take a TON of pictures of my kids. More than the majority of parents out there. I still, however, think it’s important to have professional pictures done. I don’t have the skills to take really, really good photos. Zach doesn’t really agree with me on this and would probably rather not spend the money on the professional ones but we came to a good agreement. I think I’ve mentioned this before but for the first year of each of our children’s lives we’ll do a photo shoot every three months since they change so much! Then the second year we’ll do one at 1 year then one at 18 months. At the age of 2 we’ll start just doing yearly shoots around their birthday.
Since Kye’s birthday was in March it was also the month of his yearly shoot! It worked out PERFECTLY because it also happened to be the same month that we needed to do Britt’s 3 month photos! Saved us some money 😉 We booked the shoot with Captured by Colson. We were both SO impressed with Britt’s newborn session that we couldn’t wait to work with Lindsay again!
At that time Britt wasn’t yet on the 4 hour schedule so she ate at 10:30. Lindsay came over about then and we fed Britt a bottle. We left everything open for Lindsay to decide. I have always been big about giving photographers freedom. With Javon, our wedding photographer, we told him we’d do whatever he wanted. THEY are the talent, not us ya know? I like to see what creative things people come up with and was so impressed (yet again!) with Lindsay. She said “let’s take this with us!” so Zach loaded up our game storage chest and we went down to the entrance of our neighborhood. It was the PERFECT place. Beautiful yellow flowers were in bloom and went perfectly with the color scheme Mom and I had come up with. If you liked the pics from December get ready to be even MORE blown away!
I’m splitting them up into three posts, this one is devoted to Mr. Kye Man. We did the shoot on March 10th (she got us the images RIGHT away…I waited to post them until after I sent out his birthday thank you cards that included pics in them!) and he was still so excited about just turning three! We did his pictures first while Zach and I traded off feeding Brittlynn. He was SUCH a little model! So handsome!!!

Weren’t those awesome?!?! And those were just my favorites!!!! You can look back at Kye’s 2 year photo shoot here! When I looked back I loved how we just so happened to end up with two similar pictures each year. I love both of these of Kye cuddling up to his daddy, we’ll have to get another one like it next year 🙂
I really, really LOVE how great these turned out. Kye does SO awesome
with picture taking now…just a little bribery of a sucker does the
trick 😉 Up next are Britt’s! Thanks again to Captured by Colson!!!
