Today is the start of a week long Babywise Friendly Blog Network Week!
Here’s a look at who is posting on which days:
· Monday: Maureen Monfore, Childwise Chat
· Tuesday: Valerie Plowman, Chronicles of a Babywise Mom
· Wednesday: Bethany Lynch, The Graceful Mom
· Thursday: Rachel Norman, A Mother Far From Home
· Friday: Emily Parker, Journey of Parenthood
This week kicks off over at Childwise Chat where Maureen is blogging about how we NEED to be a little selfish as moms. This is something I think is SUPER important. In our world now it’s easy to feel overwhelmed as a mom and it’s almost like society expects us to ONLY care about our children 24/7. It’s important we don’t forget about US and our needs too!
My favorite line from this post is If you’re not sure what excites you — as a person, not a mom — then it might be an indication that you’ve been mired in mommyhood a little too long. I personally have to force myself to find that balance between staying EMILY while also being Mommy! It’s important to take the time to reflect, like Maureen mentions, and see what things I’m interested in outside of my children 🙂
Thanks Maureen for the great post! I’d love to know what others think about this topic? What ways do you “take time to be selfish”?
