Blog Lovin’ Week: Meet Kelly

Hi There!!! I’m Kelly Ford, author of “Built Ford Tough” over at www.growingfordfamily.blogspot.com

I’ve been friends with Emily since a friend of mine who is a friend of hers introduced us (confusing enough?). I had been implementing babywise with my daughter, Rhyan, since birth and I think that in one of our first email’s I remember thinking “wow, she sure is happy to find a fellow babywise mama!”. We instantly bonded over parenting ideals, our mutual love for Christ and family values. I had found a friend for life!

Since meeting, Emily has been blogging almost daily; acquiring quite the readership! I, on the other hand, am not so consistent πŸ™ But I’d love to share my blog with others… so I’ll tell you a little of what its about!

First off, I write about my son. He’s our youngest and is 20 months old now. He is a MESS!

And he thinks you should read our blog… or else πŸ˜‰

Then, theres spud. In all fairness, he rarely gets mentioned in our family blog because, well, I forget about him… until he bites Mack for trying to take his food. Then I remember. But those are not quite the moments I like to blog about. Because, really, I do love Spud. He was our first child. But now he’s old and grumpy and pretty much sleeps or growls at Mack. So he doesn’t get mentioned often, but I feel it necessary to mention that he IS a part of our fam.

And then theres our first born, Rhyan. She will be 4 in April and she is definitely a GIRL with the drama to go with it πŸ™‚ But she also reminds me often that “we need to go get our toes done, Mommy” and accompanies me to anything girlie like that. She is my little sunshine and makes me laugh daily.

See? We really ARE real life friends!

And as a family, we are pretty much incapable of getting a good pic with all of us looking

I am a coffee lover, although it doesn’t resemble the taste of coffee when I’m done with it.

And this, my friends, is my handsome hubby, Jeff. He loves to run (which is what I wake up from nightmares screaming about… HATE running) and biking and anything athletic. I like brownies and tv and reading curled up in a chair. Hmmm…. Good thing opposites attract πŸ˜‰ We met when I was just 15 and he 16 years old. It was a romance made in Heaven Kroger. Beware fellow young cashiers… you never know where you may meet your future spouse! I love this man and am grateful that he loves me!

And to finish it off, a couple more pics of my sweet babes

So, my blog is mostly about my family. I do an occasional bible study on there, post occasionally about health benefits of certain things, do an occasional “helpful hygiene tip” (I’m a Dental Hygienist!) or some random deep thoughts when i’m PMSing πŸ˜‰ But mostly its just updates on the family seeing as how I started the blog to keep up with my kids lives and turn it into a hard bound book each year. So I guess you could say that its more of an “online journal” that I let everyone read (which sometimes I even ask myself why!). So, if you’re interested, pop on over. I’m trying to get current (um, I just now hit Thanksgiving of last year!) and am excited to get up to date and post about what’s going on right now… cha cha cha changes!!!
