This was an exciting month for Britt! It was her last month being 5 and it didn’t disappoint!
Britt had her first loose tooth and yall. She was OBSESSED with it. Constantly wanting us to feel it and look at it and was non-stop talking about it. It was THE topic of conversation on Thanksgiving!
It finally got to the point where it was ready and she wanted Kye to pull it for her. She even offered to pay him for his services!
He did it!!!
And he was SO proud about it and wanted to text just about everyone we know ha!!!
Britt wanted to keep her tooth like Kye has kept his. I bought her this book (Kye has the boy version) which has spots for each of her teeth.
She is using the same tooth fairy pillow that I had as a little girl 🙂
$5 for the first tooth, 50 cents for all other teeth except the two top ones which are $2 each 🙂
Britt is really improving with her gymnastics and is still very much LOVING it!
On her latest evaluation she can do:
- 45 foot fun, handstand to flat on back on 3 stacked mats with minimal spotting on vault
- On the bars: 5 pull ups with parent, undressing dismount with spot, 1 glide swing fully extended from a hollow stand, jump to support (5 casts, hips must leave bar)
- On high beam: front support mount, leg swing turn to straddle sit, leg must freely clear beam, straight jump, lever (horizontal, straight body line), turn prep stand on toe (arms in crown, foot at knee, hold for 2 seconds)
- On the low beam side handstand without spot
- On the floor without spot: bride up with feet together and legs straight, handstand to bridge (showing handstand before bridge), handstand forward roll to stand, back roll to stand (hands flat during roll), standing round off, 2 step leap, 1/2 turn (begin in prep position, arms crown during turn, foot at knee, on good leg)
All of that is basically a foreign language to me haha!
Britt is SUCH a sweet and thoughtful girl. She made all of us little Christmas cards 🙂
Britt finished up Speech this month!
She was cleared of needing any further services! SO proud of her and SO thankful we made the decision to go ahead and get services for her over the summer and through the fall. She had two AMAZING instructors and we had an incredible experience at VSU. I highly recommend their services!
Britt improved in every single area. At the start of fall semester she was in the 80th percentile with her accuracies in producing /r/ in the initial position of selected syllables, in producing vocalic /r/, at producing /l/ in the initial position of syllables, in producing /l/ in the medial position of words, and in spontaneously producing /r/ in the initial position and /l/ in the medial position. At the end of the semester she was above 90% in all of these areas!
She truly loved speech and will miss it!
We are working through all of the Star Wars episodes with Britt and so far she LOVES them!
I wanted to be sure Zach and I got some one on one time with each child before Tab was born and Britt and I had a couple times of “girl time” together! I love having a little “twin” 😉
We love our coffee stops and you know when Starbucks had the bogo holiday drinks that we were ALL about it!
And we had a FROYO night just the two of us. I love our time together and love that Britt WANTS to spend that time with me. It means so much to me that she desires to be just like me. I hope I always earn that title in her eyes!
She had some game time with Daddy too!
We’ve been working on new hairstyles. Y’all I’m struggle city but what’s SO great is how much she LOVES it and doesn’t care that it’s not “perfect” or “pinterest worthy”!
I can totally transport Britt into her teens and see her snapchatting all the time with filters (not that she’ll be allowed to snapchat at all ha!). She is always wanting to use the IG filters to take pics!
Quite the little artist! I was SO impressed with her self portrait!!!
I also LOVED reading about her favorite holiday. I know many people with December birthdays HATE having the holidays so close to their birthday but I’ve tried super hard to always make sure Britt LOVES it and it made me feel so good that she loves Christmas because it’s around her birthday 🙂
Britt has a distinct “I’m so cute give me what I want” face when she’s about to ask for something…
and this month she announced that all she wants for Christmas is a pet alligator 😉
Love my big girl! Can’t believe she’s done being 5!!!!
We got our golf cart fixed this month (finally…thanks to rats we had all kinds of issues. UGH) and I can see a lot of fun rides in our future!
