Britt’s 3rd Birthday

Britt turned 3 years old on December 6th! I love waking my kids up on their birthdays by singing to them 🙂 Here’s a video of us singing to Britt.

She has grown up SO MUCH this year!!!

And as an added birthday surprise…Hermey (our Elf!) was in her room when she woke up!

This year her actual birthday fell on the same day we had to do her party. I really would have done the party the Saturday prior but it was the weekend of Thanksgiving and the Saturday following we were going skiing. So the day of it was! We had the party at 11 am so that morning Zach took the kids to pick up donuts and balloons for the party. You can see the party fun here!

The party ended before naps and Britt really wanted to keep wearing her party dress. She slept in it and she wore it the rest of the day. 🙂 It was cute how much she loved it! After naps we did presents! I know it appears like I spend a ton of my kids birthdays but I really, really don’t! This year we had a BIG gift for Britt so she got a lot of smaller, random items.

Even after she opened all her fun presents…the princess socks from the dollar bin at target were her favorite present! Her future husband is one lucky guy bc she’s EASY to please 🙂

Grandpa and Grammie sent gifts too!

This is a REALLY neat toy! It’s a gas tank for Cozy Coupes/Power Wheels cars…you can find it at Lakeside Collection

With all of her gifts!

Grandpa and Grammie got her the glowing and singing Elsa and an Elsa crown. She LOVES them both!!!

I was super mega pumped about finding a Puppy Surprise! Did y’all have one of these as a kid? I had several of them and still have all the babies and the kids play with them all the time! Britt didn’t care about this gift AT. ALL. I legit have no clue what even happened to them already. But I loved it 🙂

For Kye’s 3rd birthday we got him a Power Wheels jeep. Zach was not excited about Britt needing to get one for her 3rd birthday too haha. He hates storing them! But fair is fair, right? Power Wheels are way way way out of our price budget for the kids birthdays. The way I afford it is by returning gifts they get throughout the years. I know it sounds awful! But when they get repeat gifts at birthday parties or for Christmas or just get too much stuff I return some of it at Toys R Us. I have them put it on a gift card and then save the gift card. I had $150 worth of gift cards to put towards the Jeep! That makes it a LOT more affordable 🙂 You can see a video of her Jeep Surprise here!

Of course…I totally picked out the Frozen themed one for her  (and yes it sings) 😉

So Britt LOVES her Jeep. Well. She loves to sit in it and play the music and sing haha but then she wants Kye to drive her around!!! Hello DIVA! 😉 I remember Kye not being able to really drive his for awhile either and I’d rather her have it and get used to it then be older when she gets it! She was much more excited to get her Jeep than Kye was his because Britt is always jealous about Kye having one 😉

Tess is waiting for her turn 😉 Daddy is going to have to build another garage to store all these jeeps in!

For her birthday dinner we decided to get take out. Usually the kids pick a restaurant and we go out to eat for their birthdays. But it just didn’t make sense to try to to that after the full day with the birthday party and with Tess and her schedule (and her just getting over her RSV). Britt LOVES corn on the cobb and she LOVES sweet potato casserole so we decided to get Smokin’ Pig 🙂 Zach went to pick it up and we played some more with the photo booth area while he was gone!

I baked her a cake for her birthday!

My sunshine girl!

It was a low key birthday for Britt and I felt guilty because she kinda got robbed. I for sure will avoid doing same day birthday parties again if I can help it. Usually the birthday child has their legit birthday ALL about them and their party day ALL about them. I think it especially looked like Britt got a raw deal because Kye celebrated his last birthday while we were at Disney. I mean it’s hard to top that! Even though I felt guilt, Britt didn’t notice anything at all and she had a GREAT day!!! She loved playing with all of her presents and loved having everything be all about HER. When you’re the middle child…getting a day about YOU is always awesome 😉
