I gave Kye his very first hair cut when he was about 11 months old (you can see the post about it here) and he got his first legit hair cut well after his 1st birthday (see that post here!). When it came to Britt getting her hair cut I was in nooooo rush. Y’all. I LOVE her hair. She wakes up and it’s beautiful. Seriously!
But I started to feel like it was getting stringy at the ends and I was questioning if it was too long. So a month before her 3rd birthday I made an appointment for both of us to get our hair cut together. For Kye’s first hair cut I was worried how he would do with it…but Britt? She was SO pumped! She loves doing special things with Mommy and she knows that Kye comes home with a sucker anytime he gets his hair cut. So she was def on board π
Mrs. Charlotte kept Tess and Kye was in school while Britt and I had our special outing. I’ve been using the same hair stylist for years now. Renika is ammmmmazing! If you are local you HAVE to check out her new salon: Glam Styles . I’m beyond happy for her as she’s truly following her dream and passion. She’s so talented and has become more than just a stylist, she’s one of my good friends!
Britt’s “before” pics
Ready!
I kept saying “just a trim! just a trim!” haha I was so nervous!
First cut!
Yes, I totally kept it for her baby book π
She did AWESOME sitting so still and being so calm the whole time!
She even was happy to have Renika style it for her! Such a girly girl π
The “after” pics!
We had to rush home because I had to nurse Tess (still not doing the bottle at this point!) so in typical mom style…I couldn’t get my hair completely finished. The sacrifices we make π
I’m very glad we went ahead and had it trimmed! I plan to keep it long for a long time. It’s too pretty for her to have some short hair cut! And NO WAY are we doing bangs either haha! I’ve seen too many friends learn that lesson the hard way!
Renika posted this π She enjoyed spoiling Britt (I mean she gave her six cookies after her hair cut. I think that trumped Kye’s sucker!)
I’m so proud of Britt and how great she did at her first hair cut! I am a little sad about it because getting my hair done is some great “me time” and now I’ll have to be having Britt tag along once in awhile so she can get her trim! She behaved so well the entire time and I love how into the whole experience she was. It’s SO fun having a daughter!!! At the rate Tess is going…she will probably need a first hair cut much younger π HUGE thanks again to Renika from Glam Styles!
