As you know, Zach and I didn’t find out the sex of either of our children while I was pregnant. We LOVE the element of surprise! We went shopping for “Clover’s” (Kye’s nickname while I was pregnant) baby furniture (which is now Brittlynn’s) when I was only 12 weeks pregnant with him. So this is waaaay back in Sept of 2008!!! Mrs. Charlotte went shopping with us and she was sweet enough to let us each pick out an outfit for the baby. Zach picked out a boy outfit (which we totally forgot to ever have Kye wear) and I picked out a girl one. Seeing as Kye was a boy, the girl outfit has been packed away waiting to be worn. (You can read the post about when we bought them here)
I LOVE mermaids. I know, it may seem kinda random. But I really do. Ariel is totally my favorite Disney Princess (and the one I relate to the most…) and Britt’s room has a mermaid theme. It’s ironic that when I pulled out this outfit it matches all the colors of Brittlynn’s nursery!!! Guess I’ve had her nursery planned in my head for awhile huh?
The first time Britt wore this outfit she had a HUGE blow out in it before I could even snap a picture. A blow out so bad that it now has stains on both the onesie and pants 🙁 I couldn’t get it out so she only wore this for the pictures and I’ll pack it away so the next girl can wear it for a couple pictures too…stinks that it’s stained!
Technically this was Brittlynn’s first ever outfit – ready and waiting for her to wear it!
My mermaid baby!
