Fire Station Pictures and Invites

Every year around Kye’s birthday we get professional pictures taken of him. Here are his one year pics, two year pics, and three year pics. This year we decided to do a combo of his four year pics with Britt’s 18 month ones so we’re waiting until she’s 18 months old (in July) to get them done. Technically he’ll be three or four months older than 4 years old but at this age he won’t probably look much different than he does now, ya know? And it cuts down on our costs big time just to do it all in one shoot πŸ™‚

Since we are waiting awhile and since Kye’s birthday party theme was firetrucks I thought it’d be fun to take him to a nearby fire station and snap some pictures of him. This year was the first year his party invites didn’t include a photo, but I still wanted some pictures to use around the party decor and to match the theme. Plus Kye LOVES firetrucks and this was a fun way to get him PUMPED for his party πŸ™‚

Zach was out of town on business with Jordan so Casey and I enjoyed the afternoon together. She was sweet enough to come with us to watch Britt while I snapped pics of Kye. He was SO excited and seriously didn’t want to STOP taking pictures!

He was super pumped about the “firetruck jeep”

Haha I’m not too sure about this hand motion?

He kept being so excited about turning four that he wanted to show four fingers on each hand…

This child knows how to WORK the camera!

Look out ladies hahaha

My sweet boy is growing up, too fast!

Britt loved the hat πŸ™‚

Very cool old firetruck outside of the station

If his invites did have a picture on them then this would have been the one I would have used!

Yes, Britt is carrying around a piece of playfood corn…

Me and my “baby” boy!

I cannot BELIEVE he’s grown up so fast…this was from his one year photo shoot. It feels like YESTERDAY!

I’ve known for AWHILE that we’d be doing a firetruck themed birthday party for Kye. I found this ADORABLE printable party pack from TomKat Studio and then I just waited. I waited and waited and one day they ran a 50% off sale. I bought that junk up and got the entire party pack for 50% off πŸ™‚ I think I bought it all in November and his party wasn’t until March…but hey, my early planning saved some dough! πŸ™‚

I’m SO happy with the way they turned out and even happier with how all the printables worked within the party decor! Here’s a sneak peak of what is to come…

I even found a firetruck stamp at Hobby Lobby and used it on the envelopes!

Even though they aren’t professional quality photos or anything, I think I managed to snap a few super cute ones and feel good about waiting until July to do his full four-year-old shoot πŸ™‚
