Frozen Night and First Pool Dip!

There are two things that pretty much everyone knows I love: froyo and Disney. So when I heard that our favorite local froyo place, The Mix, was having a Frozen themed night? I knew we had to be there!!! It worked out where Zach was home from work early that day so we were able to eat an earlier dinner then go to get dessert! They had the movie playing and several Frozen decorations up…it was a GENIUS marketing idea for them as the place was PACKED! We ran into so many people and Facebook that night was flooded with people posting pics from the event! Even though it was crowded, the line and everything flowed smoothly and we were even able to get a table with no problem! It was a great time 🙂

She was sad b/c she wanted to see Olaf haha

Meeting Elsa!!!

And a giant Olaf 😉 Britt opted out for a picture…I think he was a bit intimidating haha

That same weekend we decided it was TIME to open up our pool for summer. Usually we are able to start swimming in March/April. But this was dang MAY and that water was STILL cold. It’s just been such an oddly cold, and long lasting, winter this year! Not that I’m complaining…a pregnant woman will NOT complain about cold weather 😉

Zach tried to get the kids to jump in with him…it didn’t work so well 😉

Kye jumped a complete circle around!

And both kids ended up saying they’d rather ease their way into the water via the steps rather than jumping in. And y’all it was COLD! I only ended up dipping my toes and even Zach didn’t want to stay in very long. Our first official “swim” was actually more of a “quick dip” but it counts!

Kye was the only one who didn’t mind the cold!

Pool Babies ready for SUMMER!

Now that I’m getting up there in my pregnancy, Zach has taken over the grocery shopping. Which usually means some stuff gets added in the basket haha. This time he had a special surprise for us all! We finished with our dip and waited for the treat to come 🙂

Ice cream bars! Def a special treat!!! They were some deal on Publix where it worked out to be like $1 for 4 of them so Zach was excited…and so were the kids!

I mean I couldn’t leave Leo out for the treat, right?

It def didn’t take long for our pool to be completely ready for swimming season! I’m hoping that since it took awhile to be able to start to enjoy it that maybe it’ll be a late starting winter this year so we can have pool days much longer than usual!
