Frozen, Vans and Park Fun!

Zach and I took the kids to see Frozen over Thanksgiving Break in theaters. Honestly, I didn’t really expect to enjoy it. The ads I’d seen didn’t do it justice at all. Zach and I were both BLOWN AWAY and truly loved it!!! Kye went on a date with G-Mama before our dollar theater closed down and got to see it again, but the rest of us hadn’t seen since since that first time in Nov. When it came out on DVD I totally broke character and pre-ordered it. To be honest…I wanted to see it again!!! I have never bought a dvd when it is first released and we never give the kids gifts at random times. But Easter was still a month away. There was NO WAY I could hold out that long!!!

We decided to surprise the kids with a special dinner that included snowflake shaped pancakes 🙂 I had been craving pancakes so it was a win win situation! We ate super early and then surprised them with the movie and watched it together as a family! Here’s the video of us surprising them 🙂

The next morning we went on our big van hunt! I already knew that we would be 99% for sure getting the Honda but I wanted to see it in person and also look at the Nissan to compare. We didn’t want Zach to take off any time from work to go look and we wanted to be together so we just made it a family event 🙂 The kids both had a great time checking out the vans, but Britt did NOT like it when Zach went test driving haha. She got so upset both times! As y’all know, we did end up with the Honda…here’s my post about it 🙂 I am LOVING van life!!!

While we were out looking at vans Crissy text me and told me it was pj day at Bruster’s and that if we wore pjs we’d get FREE ICE CREAM. Duh. I was ALL about that!!! Zach didn’t want to go so I just loaded up the kids and we had some special mommy time 🙂 It was super fun and I couldn’t believe they both ate the ENTIRE thing!

Being messy makes it extra fun 🙂

SO GLAD to FINALLY be too tall for the free kid’s ice cream 😉

Sister had to have a picture too 🙂

It was SUCH a beautiful day outside and I just am really hardcore about having some fun family time together as much as possible! It was a rare weekend where we didn’t have a ton of stuff planned so we made the most of it. I LOVED all the fun memories we made together…watching the movie…getting the ice cream…and a park picnic for dinner was the perfect ending! It’s great having a golf cart now so my foot doesn’t even have to do any walking 😉

Can’t believe how BIG he is now!

 That static hair…

and how she’s wearing a link toy as a bracelet 😉

 My precious babies!!!

As we are getting closer and closer to my due date, these are the kinds of days I cherish the most. I remember being close to Britt’s due date and ALL the fun we had with Kye. It really helped get me through those tough newborn days to have those memories to reflect back on and I’m thankful for these times we’re having now!
