All about Kye from Jan!
Y’all know what matters most to us with raising our children is that they love the Lord and strive to live their lives in accordance of His Word. We are so proud of Kye in this area and how much he loves to be involved in church. He was asked to speak again from the pulpit this month and, again, blew it out of the water! You can see it here 🙂 So so proud!
Sweet words in our bulletin!
Speaking of the bulletin they also asked all the kids in Bible Class about their New Year’s Resolutions…Kye’s is to FINALLY learn how to ride a bike (#momfail)
Kye has such a sweet, thoughtful and evangelistic heart. He has sent many cards and letters to people he loves reminding them of Jesus’ love for them and asking them to be sure to read their Bibles. He truly cares about others’ salvation and is such an inspiration to ME about stepping out of that comfort zone and sharing God’s love with the WORLD!
Kye made this sweet card for G-Mama’s birthday
This month BOTH Kye and Britt had BIG NEWS in their worlds of reading. Kye tested in the 5.5 grade reading level (which means he reads at the level of a 5th grader who is halfway through the year). He LOVES to read and this was no surprise to us!
Our reader!
Kye loves school!
I LOVE this career goal 🙂
Along with career goals we also talked about car goals and Kye said in the future he wants a blue, fast, and easy to fix car 😉
Kye has a very creative mind when coming up with ideas, inventions and creations. But he is also a very meticulous person who follows instructions extremely well. He doesn’t ever like to dissemble his legos once he has them finished nor does he ever want to just put random pieces together (he’s getting a box of just random pieces for his birthday to encourage more imaginative creativity for him). He finally put together his X-Wing fighter that Santa brought him! Completely on his own! When Zach would help, he’d take apart the pieces Daddy did b/c he wanted to be sure it was 100% HIS work!
We also got him some K’Nex for Christmas which have been great to help him get more inventive!
Kye really enjoys helping others and takes pride in his work. He did a LOT of help with Britt’s new room
and helps me around the house all the time, often without me having to ask.
He asked ME if he could help with the kid sale stuff! He wrote out seller numbers on all the tags for me and did it with a smile and asked if he could do other things to help once he finished that task!
We had a little “us” time this month playing Pie in the Face 🙂
And Daddy and Kye had some together time golfing!
Love their bond
Our church has dinner every other Wednesday night and the kids and I attend when Zach is working late (hello easy dinner!) One night they had friend chicken and Kye chowed down 4 legs! Kid can GRUB!
He may chow down, but he gets those workouts in 😉 #gains
Kye asked to play outside and I went to check on him and he was building his first clubhouse. We have an area between our storage shed and fence that isn’t easily accessed so it really is the perfect clubhouse spot. I remember making TONS of clubhouses as a kid and I love that he’s so into it!
Of course hard work on a cold day calls for hot chocolate!
