Kye was SO beyond excited for his birthday party! The week leading up to the event he had the FLU and it broke my heart that he still wasn’t 100% better for his party. His tummy took awhile to feel normal again so all the party food he’d been so excited to eat, he didn’t end up partaking in.
BUT he had a TON of FUN and so many friends came to really make it a special day for him. When it came to invitations we wanted to keep this party small. We had a lot of fun things planned and when you get too many kids involved it can really take away from what you’re able to do during the party.
Kye handpicked the guest list and it was so cute who he wanted to invite (one of the first people he mentioned was Eli who is only 5 but who Kye adores). I was so thankful so many people were able to come and that all of Kye’s buddies were there!
I let the kids wear whatever they wanted and they all wanted to dress up as Star Wars characters 🙂
Our Birthday Jedi!
Jyn
BB8 and R2D2
Cutest droids EVER!
I bought this onesie before we were even matched. Isn’t it so neat how it all works out? It fit Spear perfectly for the party!
Our Crew!
Fierce faces!
Even though Kye didn’t enjoy much of the party food…all the other kids were grubbing out!
The main event for this party was Jedi Training.
Kye LOVED doing Jedi Training at Hollywood Studios and wanted to take his skills to the next level by teaching others the way of the Jedi.
I made a Jedi Robe for each of the party guests and we had them all go outside for their official training!
I was SO THANKFUL for the BEAUTIFUL day. Kye has had some pretty crazy weather for his birthday parties. We’ve had it be freezing, raining, and even have had tornados touch down in the area. It was so nice that it was so, so pretty out!
First Up: “Laser” Gun Accuracy. You can’t have terrible aim like Storm Troopers if you’re going to be a successful Jedi 😉
We had all of Kye’s nerf guns outside along with Storm Trooper targets for the kids to shoot at!
The Second Mission: Learn to use the Force and Lightsabers
We made each of the kids a lightsaber out of pool noodles and Kye trained each of them on how to use their powers for good.
Kye took this VERY seriously which I loved 🙂
Tessie and Carter immediately broke the first rule of the force regarding only using it for good 😉
After they had some training…it was time to put it into action as they faced off one by one against…
DARTH VADER
(I got the full costume here…totally worth it)
Each newly trained Jedi used their skills against Darth Vader
Jedi Kye went last and when even he couldn’t defeat Darth Vader…he called in his reinforcements for a group effort 😉
G-Mama was NOT happy to see all those Jedi attacking her baby haha
Once Darth Vader was taken care of it was time to finish off Kylo Ren 😉
Kylo Ren did a little attacking of his own against Jyn 😉
Zach looks thrilled hahaha
Yay for prizes!!!
Each of the newly appointed Jedi got a completion certificate as well as a baggie for their goodies!
They each also kept their Jedi robes and lightsabers!

We then sang Happy Birthday and dug into the AWESOME cake!
It not only looked cool but it was SO YUMMY.
It was really a “moment” for me when it came time to open gifts. Seeing Kye take all the reigns and being able to sit back and watch made me really realize just how growny he is. Big kid status 🙁
But I do NOT mind being able to watch and avoid all the kids crowding around me haha!
He was so polite and sweet and opened each card and gift and said a compliment about each and thanked each person completely on his own. #proudmama
Aunt Casey is the QUEEN of the cheesy cards 😉
Kye was, of course, the star of the day but Spear was a close second…especially when it came to Auntie Robyn!
So thankful for our friendship! Crazy to believe we both attended Kye’s and Lorelai’s first birthdays and now we’re celebrating their 9th!
My ride or die party planning partner 😉 We have it down to a SCIENCE!
Casey, Cam and Kye!
G-Mama
My birthday boy!
Sweet Payton
The kids had a super fun time with all the masks for pics too!
It was SUCH a chill afternoon and so nice out that many of the guests stayed and the kids all just hung out and played outside!
This cracked me up!
The bff cousins Cam and Spear 🙂
Kye had an AWESOME party and we appreciate everyone who came out to make it extra special!
You can see where I bought everything and how it all came together here 🙂
