This year we had a pretty full schedule the weekend of actual Mother’s Day so we celebrated the Saturday prior as a family. With a new baby at home we had to keep things pretty low-key which really made for one of the BEST Mother’s Day EVER!
Zach and the kids really took time and effort to make sure I felt appreciated from start to finish the entire day and I loved every minute of it 🙂
When I woke up for the day they had breakfast ready and waiting for me. They all helped in making pancakes and setting the table and Kye even made me my favorite drink (strawberry milk…yes I’m like a 5 year old haha)
She’s so proud 🙂
Daddy makes THE best pancakes!
Even this guy joined in on the fun
My first Mother’s Day as his mama 🙂
When Spear had his morning nap it was pampering time! I got to sit and relax and the kids and Zach took care of the rest. They all know my favorite thing is my hair being played with so there was lots of that, along with a back massage and foot massage too.
Benefit of lots of kids…lots of hands to pamper me with 😉
Yes…that’s me…completely cashed out and relaxed to the maxxxxx haha
Britt was especially proud of how she did my hair and was very upset when I curled it later that morning!
While I took my time getting ready for the day, Zach and the kids tackled my car and cleaned it from top to bottom!
It looked awesome!!!
Zach packed their lunches and we headed on a golf cart ride to the playground after Spear’s nap!
I’m so blessed to be their mama!
This sweet boy always has us all smiling 🙂
Swinging!
I remember the girls not liking the feeling of grass so I took the time to really sit with Spear and have him feel the grass and get used to how it feels. He’s just SO easy going he didn’t care one bit about any of it haha!
I’m so thankful none of our kids have inherited my fears of heights…they are so brave!
Our neighborhood playground has a basketball court now so Kye and I shot some hoops…well he did. I never made a single basket haha!
We headed back home in time for naps and sweet Tessie wanted to read the night night story to Spear and I.
After naps we opened gifts!
I always love the homemade cards the kids make for me.
Britt’s says “I love you all the way to Heaven”
And inside it says “Mommy you are the best because you take us to Disney World!”
Kye’s says “Mom you are awesome. You make my day! I love you to the moon and back!”
I love the picture of the moon and earth and his love going there and back 😉
And I’m not sure what Tess’s says 😉
Epic card from Zach!
The kids and Zach went shopping and picked me out some fun shirts 🙂
DUH Unicorns for life!
They also got me a pineapple shirt and a cute Little Mermaid one!
And Zach is always so sweet to make sure I feel appreciated by him! Love this new bracelet 🙂
My sweet boy! Being COMPLETE this Mother’s Day made it even more special!
My crew. My full heart right here!
We celebrated Mother’s Day on Cinco De Mayo and got Mexican for dinner! Whoop whoop!
And we made brownies for dessert. Perfect ending to the perfect day!
Yall know I’m super cheap cheap when it comes to stuff but one thing that is totally worth the money are these brownie mixes! Cook them WAY less time than the instructions say!
On actual Mother’s Day I got up and started getting ready for church and sweet Britt came racing into my bathroom to be the first to tell me “Happy Mother’s Day” and to give me all the little crafts and gifts she’d made for me at school.
Just to show the differences in ages…Kye’s cute Mother’s Day craft was jammed in the bottom of his book bag to be discovered when we cleaned it out on the last day hahaha
Being a mother is the best gift and I’m so honored and thankful to be a mom. It’s not something I take lightly and is a role I value and hold dear.
But. As a mom there is one thing I strive towards most and that’s helping raise my children to love Jesus and to have an eternal home in Heaven.
The best gift EVER possible happened on Mother’s Day this year when Kye made the decision to put on Christ in baptism!!! I will be covering this event in my next post but we’re SO proud of Kye and I couldn’t ever imagine a more special Mother’s Day than knowing my son will be in Heaven for eternity!
I owned this dress from last year but was excited to find matching versions for the girls! I actually own the exact dress they are wearing too so I plan for us all to wear them at the beach later this summer to be even more matchy 😉
I already was so excited for Mother’s Day being that it’d be the first one with Spear and the first one knowing that my family is complete. But this Mother’s Day surpassed ALL expectations! I loved our celebration day together as each person in the family really made such a sweet effort to make sure I felt loved and appreciated and had the happiest hearts about doing it all. Then to have Kye be baptized on actual Mother’s Day? Whew I feel bad for Mother’s Day 2019 because there just isn’t any living up to this year’s day!

Oh what a grand mother's day you had. Especially with Kye getting baptized. Nothing makes a Momma's or Daddy's heart fuller and the love and pride you feel in that child!!! I love the bracelet too. Don't forget to say hello to Kayla when you go into Steels. She is still working there. I love reading about and keeping up with my Valdosta family. God bless all of you..Love and hugs, GiGi
