This year I kept thinking we’d have a BABY by Thanksgiving haha I feel like I wasn’t FULLY in the Thanksgiving mode because I had assumed we’d be missing everything and be in Florida for the holiday. But I was wrong 😉
I loved that I was able to attend the girls’ school functions for Thanksgiving. Tess was A-DORABLE at her performance. She really surprises me. She is THE quietest kid but it’s not a shy thing I guess because she loved being up on that stage!
Look how cute she is walking in waving at me 😉
Look how TINY she looks!
She was SO pumped to have me there 🙂
Carter is very sympathetic to everything the poor Indians went through
My Tessie!
I just love all the fun crafts!
We didn’t tell Kye that he’s missing 😉
She is super into tracing EVERYTHING!
We had such a fun morning!
It was pretty funny seeing all the kids in their homemade Indian outfits while my kid was rocking the hand-me-down Indian outfit that Britt used that I bought for $4 from Amazon haha!
My item to bring for the feast was cheese. We had several cheese sticks left so I asked if I could take them home…
Tess ate like 5 cheese sticks total and kept wanting more for lunch…
I’m an idiot for feeding her all that cheese haha
On the way home from church that night we heard Tess say “I tired” and then BAM puke EVERYWHERE in the car.
SO. GROSS.
Britt had a class celebration as well and Tess and I were happy to attend!
Tess LOVES visiting Britt at school, she feels like such a big kid!
Cracked me up that she said she loves the food when she doesn’t like Thanksgiving food at ALL.
We love Ms Lisa from church!
Our big Thanksgiving tradition is TURKEY COOKIES!!!
The supplies
Adding Tess makes things trickier for me but the upside is that Kye is old enough to really do a lot of the process himself!
Finished products!
We did actual eyes this year which made for some really hilarious crazy looking turkeys 😉
Another one of our favorite family traditions for Thanksgiving is ice cream for dinner! This year we made a family outing out of picking our ice cream options!
On Thanksgiving morning our Elf on the Shelf, Hermey, comes to visit! He always brings tasty muffins with him and last year he brought his sister, Snowflake so she now visits yearly too!
The kids TOTALLY forgot about Hermey coming and were truly shocked and it was awesome 🙂
For Thanksgiving we go to lunch at Memas!
We brought a board game and it was cute to see Mr Rusty, Zach and Kye all play Monopoly Jr together!
Downside of this year is that none of the BFF cousins were there…upside is that all three of our kids could sit at the bar!
After Mema’s we went by to visit with Little Mama and Big Daddy for a little bit and Big Daddy was telling stories…I’m so glad Zach thought to grab his phone and record! Here’s a LONG video but one we will always be thankful for!
Once we got home it was ICE CREAM TIME!!!!!
I love this of Kye and his joy!
New Tradition: Daddy squirting whip cream in each kids’ mouth!
It was a FEAST MODE day!
Britt had her first loose tooth and omg it’s ALL we heard about ALL DAY LONG.
And we ended the night with some Star Wars cuddles!
