I haven’t linked up with Jamie over at This Kind of Love in a long time. Today I’m thankful it’s Wednesday and that she’s still hosting this link-up. I am in desperate need of a big dose of GOODNESS and writing this forces me to look at all the blessings I have in my life right now, even when the tougher stuff seems like it is overshadowing the good stuff, ya know?
Here’s what I’m LOVING this week:
I’m loving that I’m taking the time to FINALLY get my Facebook albums updated and back up ALL my pictures onto external hard-drives (my poor ancient computer simply can’t hold all of this junk anymore!!!). I’m just now uploading pics to Facebook from June. But it IS fun to get to relive some of those memories…especially our Parker Family Disney Vacation! 🙂
I’m loving that it’s Survivor night tonight!!! Seriously like everyday I say to Zach “MAN I wish Survivor was on tonight.” Haha. The whole three tribe thing really got this season moving at a quick pace right from the start and I just love having a tv show to “get into” ya know? It’s fun to have people to root for! I’m really rooting for Malcolm. Bless his heart, he’s had SUCH a rough start but I’m thinking this new tribe thing should work out good for him!
I’m loving that this weekend we get to attend our churches Trunk or Treat! We went two years ago to the event and it was a lot of fun. This year we actually plan to participate in decorating our trunk 😉 We are going with an easy theme for us…Toy Story 🙂
I’m loving that tomorrow I get to go get my hair done! Whew…I NEED it!!! As a stay at home mommy pretty much the only time I get to go have time to myself is when I get my hair done. I really, really enjoy that time and it’s like a free therapy session too haha. I’m SUPER tempted to do something different, but I’m sure I’ll come home with the same cut and color I always get. I used to have my hair similar to this…it’s mildly tempting to go back to this cut again…
I’m loving me some SPARK. Goodness! I didn’t realize how amazingly awesome this junk is until I went without it for awhile. I’ve been having a rough time sleeping. I can go all day and be “fine” but then the nights come and it’s tough on me lately. My mind won’t sleep! The other night I, legit, got 2 hours of sleep. SO thankful for my Spark the next day…it helped me still function and be a good mommy to my kids even through my exhaustion 😉 Even on normal days Spark just helps me get through the afternoon time and gives me that much needed afternoon pick-me-up!!! (You can get your fix HERE!)
I’m loving that one week from tomorrow I’ll be celebrating my BIRTHDAY!!! 28 here I come! It used to really bug me to think about getting older…but 28 isn’t really a “big deal” age. Now when I hit 30 I might freak out a little bit. I already told Zach we’ll need to plan a Disney trip around my birthday that year so I can make it through haha.
Nov 1st, 1984!
I’m loving that I’m at an age where I just don’t have any gifts I REALLY want. It’s annoying to shop for people like me. Haha. I know this because I’m trying to WRACK MY BRAIN for gift ideas for Zach for Christmas. There just isn’t anything he really wants!!! I told Zach, straight up, that if anyone wants ideas for me to please get me gift cards. I know, that’s a BORING gift to give someone but I’ve lost a good bit of weight (down 8 lbs now with Advocare whatwhat!) and we don’t have any extra funds where I would ever feel okay about going shopping. I’d LOVE some gift cards so I can just go buy myself stuff and not feel any guilt!!! I can’t even remember the last time I went shopping JUST FOR ME and bought something not on the super-mega-clearance rack and with some kind of coupon…
I haven’t shopped at NY&Co in, seriously, 2 years or more. And Gap? That’s my favorite clearance, coupon place 😉
I’m loving that in a little over a month my sweet baby girl will turn ONE. Ah!!! I’m so in denial about it. Like I have a ton of birthday party ideas pinned on Pinterest yet haven’t started to do anything about it yet haha. I just can’t believe she’s not this tiny little baby anymore!!! Time for #3 😉 Seriously though, I am excited about all the wonderful things the age of ONE will bring for her. It’s a fun time. Sad to let go of my baby, but fun to welcome in the toddler years!!!
I’m loving that ONE thing I have actually done for Britt’s birthday is order her a kitchen!!! I’m super, mega excited about it. Kye has always wanted a kitchen but Zach didn’t want his son to have a toy kitchen (we got him a grill instead) so I have joked with Zach for ages that if we had a girl the first thing I’d buy her was a kitchen so Kye could play with it haha It makes good sense to get it for her for her 1st birthday as they can play together with it and she’ll grow into it through the year. I found an AWESOME deal on it too…and it arrived super fast. Now Zach just has to assemble it 😉
I’m loving our constant singing of Disney Songs around our house. We sing and sing and sing and it’s so fun and uplifting. Hakuna Matata is the current favorite and when I found this picture I laughed out loud. Zach and I said the SAME thing when we first listened to the song. Once you’re parents your perspective totally changes, doesn’t it??? The song may not teach the best lesson…but that’s okay! Our children are being raised in a home where our values and morals are based around the Lord and his word so I’m not too worried about one song affecting them in the long run!
I’m loving my sweet, amazing, supportive family. When times are tough you find out who will be there for you. I have THE BEST in-laws anyone could ever wish for. Seriously. THE BEST. I appreciate their listening ears, encouraging words, and having my back 100%. I’m blessed!!!
I’m loving my incredible son. He brings me so much joy and he doesn’t even realize it. My children are my purpose and they give me that reason to keep going, stand strong, and smile even when I may not want to. Kye and I have had some great chances to spend quality time together and it’s been awesome. He’s so funny, smart, and has the most kind heart of anyone I’ve ever met. He teaches ME so much!!! His recent prayer really has stuck with me. He said “Thank you Lord for this wonderful day. Some days are good days. Some days are bad days. Thank you Lord for ALL the days.”
I’m loving Pinterest quotes!!! I keep finding so many that inspire me and say just the right thing for my situation. What did we do prior to Pinterest? Haha! I love searching for topics that I need encouragement on and then finding just what I needed to read in that moment. I’m not a big fan of people blogging a bunch of Pinterest stuff. I mean we can ALL go to each others boards and see what you pin…we don’t need to see a blog post with it haha. However, these nine quotes have really blessed me and I thought they may bless someone else too 🙂
That’s everything I’m loving this week!!! Huge thanks to Jamie for hosting such a positive link-up. It really did brighten my whole mood today and I needed that!!! What is everyone else loving this week???

I love that cut and color!
I think your hair would look awesome like that!!!!!!
Brianna has a kitchen and uses it ALL. THE. TIME. I think you'll be happy with that choice for Brittlynn. I need some gift cards, too. Being pregnant twice in the past two years means my wardrobe is outdated. I need new clothes in a BAD way, but I always feel guilty buying them.
